Kam's Bio
Kam Thomas Throckmorton is the face and fashion of Glam Kam, an Atlanta-based company focused upon elevating the confidence of women through the transformative power of clothing and style. A fashion stylist and graduate of the University of Georgia, she has combined her degree in Social Work with a keen eye and over a decade of experience and research to cultivate a unique mission and brand.
Whether it’s a closet edit, photo shoot or personal shopping, Kam’s goal is to create transformative looks for her clients that exude confidence for everyone from CEOs to soccer moms.
At an early age, Kam took advantage of her mom’s amazing wardrobe and her love of fashion began. Those glorious days were short-lived as she quickly surpassed her mom’s lithe size 4 frame. Standing 6'1" in the 7th grade, with a statuesque build (or "big-boned" as they say) made getting dressed a challenge and even harder to be stylish. Unwilling to give up her sense of style, she began a quest to learn the best looks for her body shape. It was from this struggle, that Glam Kam was born.
Kam’s mission is far more than personal styling and luxury logos. She loves building brands, inspiring passion in people and of course discovering great accessories. Serving as the Chief Creative Officer for her jewelry company, BEAUXLD, she keeps a constant pulse on emerging trends while keeping true to her personal style. Whether it’s a closet edit, photo shoot or personal shopping, Kam’s goal is to create transformative looks for her clients that exude confidence for everyone from CEOs to soccer moms.
Kam Thomas Throckmorton was most recently named “Atlanta’s Best Personal Stylist” by Best Self Atlanta Magazine and CBS Atlanta in addition to being featured in JEZEBEL’s “Glam Patrol”.
Kam is a rare Atlanta native who lives in Sandy Springs with her 6’11” husband (her favorite accessory), a ludicrous amount of costume jewelry, and all things turquoise.
